With music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and orchestration by Jason Robert Brown, john & jen premiered Off-Broadway at Lamb's Theater on June 1, 1995. It tells the story of a relationship between a brother and a sister, and a mother and a son, set against the background of a changing America between 1950 and 1990. This simple production is honest and organic in its nature, relying on a strong and talented 2-person cast to tell a very real story about these individuals as their relationships change over the years.
